Curling is more than a sport. Besides a cardiovascular workout, challenging strategy and team cooperation, curlers enjoy a wonderful off-ice atmosphere of camaraderie that is unmatched in other winter team sports. Integrity, a sense of fair play and friendly competition are all hallmarks of the sport. It is also one of the few sports where men and women of all ages can compete equally.
Apart from friendly on-ice competition, curlers enjoy a wonderful off-ice tradition. After each game players retreat to the lounge where they socialize, share curling experiences, discuss strategy or just enjoy friendly conversation over food or drinks. Many lasting friendships (yes, even relationships!) have their roots in the curling lounge. If you are a member of Manitoba's GLBT community or are gay friendly WE NEED YOU!

| Come by The Granite Curlling Club on Sunday the 18th for our curling double header. This all day event hosts great food and drink as well as 50/50 prizes! And if you think that's a good time, keep the 3rd weekend of February open for our 6th annual Bonspiel. All weekend of food, fun, drinks and the best curling around. |
